The Census of 1860 for the Wayne County Poor House, included the "insane and incurable" within the Poor House, as well as the County Poor. Taken by Daniel D. Tompkins, January 20, 1860, starting page 759. Below are the Employees, patients, and "inmates". Some of the residents spellings are hard to make out because of the handwritting. There are also some children living here, some have matching parents, while others do not, assuming they are among the County Poor or Incurable and probably not "insane".
