Location: Henry Ruff rd between Annapolis and Van Born Roads in Westland.
Description: Said to be the most haunted place in Michigan, the cemetery is very old and has been vandalized. Many stones have worn from the elements. An eerie feeling overcomes any person who enters this place, especially is you have heard the stories surrounding it.

Name: Elmwood Cemetery
Location: 1200 Elmwood Street in Detroit 48207.
Description: A walk through Elmwood Cemetery on Detroit's near east side is a walk through 150 years of history and mysterious legend. The names on many of the 54,000 markers are names that still live on maps, building cornerstones and in our children's history books. Buried here are 28 Detroit mayors, 11 U.S. senators, seven Michigan governors, 28 Civil War generals and 15 black veterans of that war.

Name: Redford Cemetery
Location: Telegraph between 5 and 6 mile roads in Redford.
Description: Also known as Bell Branch Cemetery, it is the site where many war heroes from the Revolutiony War and so on are buried. It is a particularly interesting place, though vandals have smashed and broken many stones.

Name: Woodmere Cemetery
Location: 9400 West Fort Street in Detroit 48209.
Description: The Mausoleums are an especially interesting part to visit in this cemetery. There is an old Civil War monument visible from outside the cemetery, along with a crematorium slightly hidden from view.

Name: Northville Mental Hospital
Location: Along 7 Mile Road in Northville.
Description: All that remains of the original hospital are a few underground rooms. The building itself was best decribed as gothic and eerie. My Dad recalls going there when he was younger to visit a friend there, and told me of the creepy feeling he got while walking through the building.

Name: Belle Isle Horse Stables
Location: North end of Belle Isle.
Description: The stables on Belle Isle were the oldest wooden structure in Detroit. It was demolished and dismantled in 2003. Parts of the roof were saved and stored away.

Name: Book-Cadillac Hotel
Location: Corner of Washington Boulevard and Michigan Avenue, Detroit.
Description: The 28-story Book-Cadillac hotel, which opened in 1924, has been vacant and shuttered for 18 years. Famous guests include Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, Harry S Truman, John F. Kennedy and Babe Ruth.

Name: Brush Park
Location: Neighborhood runs west of Brush to Woodward and north/south from Mack to Winder.
Description: The beautiful homes of 18th century lumber tycoons have been abandoned for years and left to essentially rot and decay. You can tell just by driving through that the houses were once beautiful works of art. Many houses are gone, but there is a restoration project going on to save the remaning houses that are salvageable.

Name: Michigan Central Station
Location: Southwest Detroit on Michigan Avenue.
Description: MCS closed in the mid 1980's and has withstood time and the elements for nearly 20 years. Recent plans are that the Detroit Police are eyeing the building for it's new headquarters.

Name: Henry Ford's Grosse Ile Home
Location: Private Residence on Grosse Ile.
Description: This beautiful "Pagoda" style home is still being lived in today. Interesting enough, there are supposedly underground tunnels that connect the garage across the street to the house. Rumor has it that Adolf Hitler once visited this home and walked through those same tunnels.

Name: Knock Knock Street
Location: Strasburg Street off East 7 Mile Road.
Description: Urban legend states that one drives slow enough down Strasburg street, with the radio and heat off, you can hear a series of knocks around the car, supposedly being the spirit of a murdered young girl drug down the street.
